User-generated content is at the heart of Indeed's mission, yet our content collection has been stagnant. We aim to provide a unique and authentic perspective on jobs and companies that can help all workers make better, more informed job decisions.
My role: Lead designer
Duration: 4 quarters
Responsibilities: End-to-end process
There were limited resources available for content design and UX research.
Traffic on Indeed was decreasing, which impacted the ability to collect more content from job seekers.
It was difficult to measure how much time and money we saved by building a UGC design system.

Roadmap
To strike a balance between production speed and user insights, I propose running one experiment at a time and evaluating it based on a single variable.
During prioritization, I asked collaborators to estimate each identified experiment on two metrics:
- Effort (for engineers only): how much time it will take to run the experiment.
- Impact (for everyone): bounce rate

Improved usability of content collection
Growth acceleration in established products can be challenging. It's all about moving the needle and consistently analyzing ongoing experiments. To better understand the results, each experiment was run one at a time, which took longer compared to launching an entire new experience at once.
